First link discusses back ground light in the sky.
"When researchers completed this inventory, they found an exceedingly tiny excess of light, equivalent to the steady glow of 10 fireflies spread across the entire sky. That's like turning out all the lights in a shuttered room and still finding an eerie glow coming from the walls, ceiling, and floor. '

The third discusses supernova causing a shock wave bubble that sweeps material along to form new stars. We are moving along inside that bubble.

Here is a discussion of suns motion in the galaxy.
Where are we going? Direction of the sun in the galaxy
Where are we going? Direction of the sun in the galaxy part 2
Where are we going? Direction of the sun in the galaxy part 3
Summation of part 3 is that we are just coming of the local magnetized cloud right now and will subject to more cosmic rays and stufff (Stuff!) The narrator will discuss it better than I can. (Also discusses magnetic pole reversal.
I did not look at part four (Yet) I will save that for later when I am in more of an End of the world type mood. (After Easter perhaps!)
