The Colorado dentist charged in his wife’s poisoning death had serious financial trouble — from going bankrupt, to gambling issues to losing big in crypto, according to documents obtained by The Post.
James Craig racked up $2 million in personal debt while his dental business was losing about $120,000, according to his Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, which was finalized in July.
The money woes got so bad, his practice failed and he was forced to sell it off.
All this came as the 45-year-old’s wife, Angela, 43, had three life insurance policies out on her when she died on March 18 in the hospital from a dose of poison that her husband allegedly gave her.

As Sgt. Larkin always puts it, we don’t catch the smart ones.
Couldn’t he have consulted a financial advisor, down-sized his life-style, declared a personal bankruptcy, and kept the wife? It seems that would have been a wiser plan.
Poor lady.
I am for torture penalties.
He should get together with this person. Seems like the perfect match!

Never trust a person that has three life insurance polices on you.
“It seems that would have been a wiser plan.”
Over the years I’ve known a few people who were disassociated from reality. This doesn’t mean they can’t go to work, make dinner, raise the kids, etc. What it means is they have some quirk where what they see or think they know is manifestly not true. I worked with a guy who thought that because other people were making money trading penny stocks that he could...this despite losing thousands of dollars on every transaction. I knew a grotesquely fat man who thought he was God’s gift to women. Then there was the guy, who, despite having everything going for him just gave up because he knew he wasn’t worth the job, the pay, the beautiful wife. (Don’t know what happened to him because he quit.)
His also-married, orthodontist mistress doesn't seem much better.
Well we just had a post here a day or two ago about a woman who poisoned her guy in his food. Hope you want to torture her as well.
Seems that he did not just have decay in his finances, but a huge cavity in his morality.
Yup, always search “life insurance”.
Almost always, that is the motive for murders. Domestic, but sometimes even more!
Again?
You just can’t help yourself, can you? :)
They already referred to your woman.

Sounds like a Columbo episode.
6 children now without parents..
This case sounds like a version of the Alex Murdaugh South Carolina murder.
Hope he gets his teeth knocked out in prison
If it can be made legal, then cool for either sex.
We used to have such penalties.
Cool! I didn’t know that was online!!
Like Celine Dion music played at top volume in the cell 24/7?
