I comfort myself by thinking this is simply edited to be humorous. But I’m probably wrong.

I bet it is edited too. I let YouTube serve up a few more videos after this one as I was semi-busy and not fully watching the TV (smart tv YouTube app). There was a similar video asking much more difficult questions of college students. They did rather well. There even was a question that I didn’t recall the answer, and several kids got it correct. The question was something like, “who was the shortest serving President of the United States?” That’s one of those basically seldom used information tidbits that if not recalled once every ten years that it gets lost - until you hear the answer and you have full recall of the details surrounding the answer.
