Yup. Pocatello area. We would be pretty screwed, pretty fast. The silica in the ash turns into cement in the lungs as well as cutting them up due to sharp edges. You would need some really good gas masks to survive. Vehicles would be choked off pretty fast.
I live near Spokane so I hope we're safe at least initially...the darkening of the sky could destroy a lot of farm crops....
however, it is what it is....can't worry about something we can't change....
