As they’re loosing $3B towards EV investment.

It’s all about garnishing the most fed incentive dough that they can promote.
To: lowbridge
They can lose another $3 billion on top of the $3 billion they already lost.

Battery EVs are not yet “ready for prime time.” This rush to the building of soon to be obsolete products is going to cost the shareholders big time. The key weakness is the battery pack. The propeller heads of our society need a bit more time to come up with the right recipe for all temperature, lower cost, more robust battery packs. Not only for BEVs, but in other applications like storing power from intermittent sources.

I can hardly wait until they come out!
I would get up early, to stand in a long line in order to not buy one.

LOL
Memphis?
Man this is going to be great for Tennessee.
Until it isn’t. Kind of funny since the story goes that a lot of blacks went north in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s to Detroit (and Chicago and Milwaukee?) for jobs in factories.
Now that a lot of blacks are up there and all established, Ford is moving the new jobs and the newest factories away from where the workers are.
There has to be more to this story from this perspective. I wonder if any real journalist is working on it.

.
If they’re building that many, someone told them they’ll be mandated by Law.

First the Law mandating a percentage production of EVs, then and only then..
A second law saying you have to pay $8G to $10G when you trade in or relinquish your EV for disposal of toxic materials.
And they want driving to be very expensive, because their plans depend on you being on Mass Transit.

Fed Gov mandates for CAFE standards are forcing automakers to make EV’s to get their mileages up. It’s all a bunch of political BS. To my knowledge, Toyota is the only automaker that is not bowing down to this kind of pressure.
My next truck will be a Tundra. Hopefully by the end of the year.

I would not bet against you.
The market will not be there. We’re sinking.

Next and possibly last vehicle will most likely be a Toyota product with ICE.
I’ll keep the trucks as long as I can get fuel.
