Parrots are hilarious. Intelligent like a 7 or 8 year old human, and with their own sense of how things should be, and
forceful enough personalities to make it so. Even cats will end up subservient to them, or at least hesitant to upset them. Also very affectionate, though not everybody likes having their eyebrows preened for them.
But they are characters, and very funny.
Not sure about crocodiles though...
