Perks to lure you to the office.
Show up or your fired
Just add a doggy deposit of $1000. You know the renters will stink up and destroy the place b/c of the dam mutt! It’s inevitable!
Downtown realators, businesses, etc, are seeing declining revenues as people are WFH.The only thing sustaining commercial real estate is long term leases, which are coming up now, or being bought out by major companies who are dumping office space. My wife's company just consolidated 3 floors into one at a prime downtown DC property. And these buildings are not built for residential or hotel use, so it's not like they can convert them to the latest, greatest retail/office/residential complex (however annoying that concept is, but the yutes in northern VA seem to like it).

My cars have alternators, so I don’t need to charge them when I get to the office.
When it comes to this ****, I’m more about the stick and less about the carrot.
Show up. Work your butt off.
Or get pink slipped.
Your choice.
Just an observation that there was not much of a push to get people back to work on-site until the WEF ruling class met in Davos in January.
Coincidence? I think not.
Another way they are trying to nickle and dime landlords, so as to drive people away from wanting to be landlords.
Not particularly effective when the situation that I outlined in my post #15 is more the rule than the exception.
Plus, no more...

Great post. I’m in a similar position, but as a contractor I have more leverage than a regular employee. It’s ludicrous to bring people into an office unless you can demonstrate that it’s absolutely essential for them to get the work done that way.

Truth.
He agreed that most of the people corporate was trying to force back into the office had absolutely no reason to be there and most of the others were "hybrid" people like me that could benefit with, at most, one or two days there.
But he had to carry the water for the wokester new C.E.O. even if he thought it was stupid. Now that I've set a retirement date, I know full well that I could probably get away with going back to one day a week, but I won't do it because I committed to three.
