The last 78 years since the end of WWII have been relatively peaceful, compared to the rest of history.
The left loves to talk about a "forever war" and all the little wars which are always going on all over the world. But compared to WWI and WWII, the wars since have been relatively contained. If it hadn't been for the numerous wars of promoted by the Soviet Union and China, the number of consequential wars would be greatly reduced.
Taking out those wars would remove Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, most of the Latin American wars, most of the "anti-colonial" wars in Africa, and Afghanistan.
Those without Soviet and/or Chinese aggression would include the split of India and Pakistan, the Iraq Iran war, the Falklands war, and no doubt, several others.
The last 80 years have ushered in an unprecedented era of prosperity, brought about by pax Americana.
Fixed it.
