During Wednesday evening’s episode, contestant Karen Morris made a bad choice with her bet when it came to the final rounds of the trivia show — and she lost big time.
Morris was in the lead with earnings of $21,800, while the other players had scored $7,100 and $6,400. During the Double Jeopardy segment, Morris opted for a huge bet — $10,000 — in an attempt to emerge as the victor of the game.

I get that. I just think that some contestants go into game shows thinking they’re just gonna be there to rack up the big bucks so they go for the big bets devil-may-care every time. She was probably mucho careless, there (although some people with that attitude REALLY rake it in), but I don’t think the label of “dumb” fit her via missing a couple of answers.

People that can consistently win these trivia quiz shows are freaks, if you ask me.
I once heard years ago that Jeopardy contestants are given a huge list of answers in advance to study, some relevant to the categories on their respective show and some not relevant to anything at all on the show. That would explain a wacky non-sensical answer/question from a contestant

That was the first jeopardy episode I’d watched in months. She was ultra greedy and made an incredibly dumb error.
Cliff Claven level dumb.
She had the game won and threw it away.

See my #42. I agree with you about the “ultra greedy.” Some players seem wired to just go in there to get the big score right now and take some head-shaking chances.
