Accusations and criticism have increased in Canadian politics recently that the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese government are influencing the outcome of Canadian elections and the actions of Canadian politicians.
The National Security and Intelligence Review Agency (NSIRA) and the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) are reviewing foreign interference in the last two federal elections, held in 2019 and 2021. There are allegations organizations acting as a front for the Chinese government have been involved with election campaigns and finances.

At the provincial level, Vincent Ke, a Progressive Conservative (PC) member of the Ontario legislature, recently resigned from his party’s caucus while accusations he was influenced by communist China are being investigated. Ke represents a district adjacent to Dong’s. Ke has also denied the accusations against him.
Pressure has mounted on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to order a public inquiry into the allegations of Chinese communist influence on Canadian politics. The opposition Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre, has been especially strong in its demand for an inquiry.
However, Trudeau has repeatedly refused to order such an inquiry. Instead, on March 21, he announced the appointment of a “Special Rapporteur” to investigate if an inquiry should be held. Basically, Trudeau is ordering an investigation to see if there should be an investigation.

the Liberal Party IS the chicom party in Canada. They are not going to bite the hand that feeds.
Part of the problem is the Chinese are clever and accuse those criticizing them as racists.
