Has anyone had success in exterminating clothes moths? Our house exploded with them.

Sounds pretty bad. We’ve been battling with them for years now. Don’t know how they gained entry but once the cycle begins it’s very hard to stop.
My advice is for you to take all your woolens, anything you care about, to the dry cleaners. This will be expensive.
Launder everything that can be laundered.
Then, vacuum your closets within an inch of their lives. If you have woolen rugs, vacuum them as well. When you are done vacuuming, move the vacuum and its contents outdoors and empty it into a trash bag and seal it. Dispose of this trash bag as quickly as possible.
When your clothes come back from the dry cleaners, store them in sealed containers. You are going to have to keep your wool sweaters, blankets, coats and even suits stored like this forever.
Keep your closets immaculate.
Right now I’m putting my clothes in hefty bags and freezing them.
We’re tearing out the carpets, replacing them with engineered hardwood and the grasscloth on the wall. The wallpaper has to go too.
Is there a product that gets rid of the larva? We bought a steamer to use on the drapes.
When we moved into our new home, we converted one of the bedrooms into ta walk-in closet.
Then purchased aromatic, Red Cedar open-shelving for the entire room.
It turned out really low cost; $1500 for a 10x12 room.
Put it up ourselves, which was easy.
Now, every fall, I take the palm-sander in “re-activate” the smell on each outside surface.
Humid summer mornings smell great in there.
