It’s a dangerous place...aside from alligators, you got hurricanes, sink holes, water moccasins and Florida is the lightning capitol of the US.......I wouldn’t recommend anyone consider coming here.....much less moving here permanently.

Bad juju 👎

I live in Florida’s most dangerous county for lightning.

If you’re facing the right direction, it can provide hours of fascination...

Not far from me, gators can be seen lined up—sunbathing.

‘Course, this is bracketed by four signs on the highway saying, “Bear Crossing”...!

Damn the gators, what lurks in the St. Augustine grass will flat out kill you.

You forgot the pythons!

My ship’s home port was Mayport, when I was there in 1960-62.

In 1976, wife and I took a driving trip to FL and I drove some back roads to give her a taste of the FL area. One road had what looked like a log across the 2-lane road, so I stopped.

Closer look showed us it was a python that was warming on the road. It stretched from one side of the road to the other side and the girth was the size of a medium cantaloupe! I backed up and then took a running start and drove over that speed bump.
