Amanda Bynes had allegedly not been taking her medication prior to being placed on a psychiatric hold early Sunday.
“She got off her meds, and she’s still off her meds,” the actress’ ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, exclusively claims to Page Six. “She’s wild." Michael adds that he and Bynes are “friends now.” They were spotted out together as recently as December 2022.
An eyewitness told TMZ on Monday that the former child star — who has bipolar disorder and has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past — was roaming the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, naked, when she flagged down a car and told the driver she was coming down from a psychiatric episode.

She was such a promising young star on Nickelodeon - there have always been rumors that her mental state deteriorated in part because of abuse she suffered while working on those shows. Hope she gets help and can find some lasting measure of peace.

There needs to be a system in place in Hollywood that mentors child actors and can be a support bridge for them through adulthood, with significant input from the parents. I don’t know if such as system exists, but it should.
Extremely sad. This poor girl was raped by a Nikelodeon scumbag and scarred for life. The Nick/Disney machines chew up these girls and spit them out, and they are never the same. Lindsay Lohan, Brittney Spears, and on and on.
She was an incredible talent, with some comparing her to a young Carol Burnett - until everything changed. Until she was sexually assaulted by a Nick producer, or so she claimed. The she "went crazy", conveniently. Monsters.
I surprise indeed. Years ago I surfed into a blurb for a new show starring a ery post pubertal Byrnes whom I recognized from an older kiddie show. She was mincing around showing off the figure and I shook my head and wondered sadly how long before we see pic of her wasted in public or lezzing it up or both. You KNOW the industry perverts get a hold of these kids and dope them and molest them till they’re more than half nuts. She was a talented and cute kid. It yeah, no surprise.

Why the shows at all to begin with?
Kids should not be in Hollywood. It’s just too dangerous for them.
Any parent that sends their kid to Hollywood is guilty of child abuse.
