Funny, I went from Vandenberg AFB, California to Fort Lauderdale on a business trip in the 1980's. I don't recall not seeing or hearing everything new york all the time I was there.
The loud voices, the restaurants, the rudeness. It sure wasn't the south I was raised in where good manners were expected.
