The doctors are sick freaks, and her parents were stupid.

These doctors immediately approved Layla for cross-sex hormones and a double mastectomy at ages 12-13, without performing an adequate evaluation and treatment of Layla’s extensive mental health co-morbidities.”
They did not listen to two sets of other doctors who did inform them of risks and said surgery should wait til she was older. The kid wouldn’t accept it. They all, despite being told the risks by more than one set of doctors, went doctor shopping until they found a pair that would agree with what THEY ALL WANTED TO DO.
To claim they were unaware of the risks, is 100% complete blatant lying on the part of the kid and the parents.
