The analogy with the present crisis in Ukraine and the story of the Chinese Tangut kingdom
I am not a big fan of all these drone videos showing Russian soldiers dying after being hit by grenade from the drone, yet I will watch every single video of these cretins spasming out on the ground after taking a bullet to the back of the head.
There's the line that governing China is liking riding a tiger, you can't get off otherwise the tiger will eat you. Russia is much the same with the exception that they are by and large sadists who take pleasure in the pain of others in their charge, and they will tape themselves doing so.
The merciful deaths will be those who are shot.
“He didn’t consider NOT INVADING, and only considered taking over Ukraine”
Link please.
“so, his goal has been to reconstitute the old USSR”
Link please.
“It’s about destroying the Ukrainian army, ala Clausewitz.”
More like ala rus nazi mongol with special needs.
Unfortunately.
However, on the bright side:
It's OK When We Do It!
“who say that Putin is justified in invading Ukraine because like Hitler and Stalin, he felt that a small neighboring country was a threat that must be eliminated.”
OBVIOUSLY that must be the case, since Ukraine is fighting Russia to a STANDSTILL in Donbass.
So basically evil America, the great satan.
“Just another chapter of useful idiots/Russian assets poisoning our nation.”
Funny how you joined FR only AFTER the SMO started...
“NATO weapons didn’t need to be on the border with Russia”
Perhaps then they should have agreed to what Putin was asking for and NATO would not be in this quagmire.
So they are guilty because they can defend themselves...
“So basically evil America, the great satan.”
Serbia would agree with that. By the way, anyone here know why he needed to bomb the shit out of Serbia? I’m still trying to find an answer to that question.
“So basically evil America, the great satan.”
Your words not mine. You implied that Ukraine wasn’t a serious threat to Russia - I simply stated that it wasn’t true, or Russia would have rolled them up like we did in Iraq (twice, by the way).
Why is it so hard to imagine. The USA had to invade Vietnam, Serbia, Iraq, Syria, Libya. None of these countries were as strong as NATO, nor on America's borders, were they? Yet surely, you have heard this justification before?
Good analogy. 😏
Would not submit to NATO

NATO weapons have been right on the border with russia for decades. Now, thanks to putin’s aggression on Ukraine, NATO is about to add Finland (in other words, hundreds more miles of russian border with NATO weapons wight on it). Is invading Finland next?
A more accurate analogy for putin’s invasion would be ‘her skirt was so short, I had no choice but to rape her!’
Russia started the war in 2014 when they launched a cowardly sneak attack against Ukraine.
Deal with it.
Why didn’t Russia take all of Georgia, instead of merely South Ossetia?
The Ukraine started this war with Russia in 1991 when they bailed as the Soviet State fell. That’s when a number of smaller “countries” literally seceded from the Russian control like the south did with the US in the early/mid 1860’s. The Russian civil war is just taking longer than ours did because it isn’t centralized near as much, the definition of a country versus a territory is based upon each’s opinion, and they are playing with bigger toys. Ukraine is just the richest of the Russian bolting countries and is first. Their will be more.
