Projects this weekend:

Plant seeds. I purchased a seed starter kit: seed tray (holds 18 3-4” peat pots), top with vents, grow light(s) & a heat mat. My issue has been where to put planted pots to sprout & grow - no window room. I remembered we bought a bedside table (hospital style) for dad & never got to use it. It is large enough & very sturdy so I am putting it together to hold my seed starting equipment. I can get it near a window or anywhere else because of the grow lights providing the actual light needed.

Fix my laptop (install new fan). I have one stinking screw that is stripped & keeping the case from opening (guess I did it the last time I replaced the fan). After trying all the “tricks” for small stripped screws on YouTube, I spent the money for a “micro screw extractor” set - hope it works. I also purchased replacement screws for all I will take out & replace so if I have to get in again, no stripped screws. The cost of the fan, screw extraction kit, & new screws is still way below what I would have to pay a PC shop to just look at the laptop.

Work on boxwood project. We have had close to an inch of rain over the last week (including yesterday & last night) so the dirt is too wet/muddy to work. I need to get soil amendments so can go to the store this weekend for that. No rain & warmer temps next week so I can do the digging necessary & hopefully get the shrubs in before next weekend when there is more rain coming.

I may get the mower out - couple of spots where the grass gets super thick are getting ‘shaggy’ & knocking the grass down early would make mowing easier when the rest of the grass starts catching up.

Beautiful time of year here with spring blooming going on. Tons of robins in the fields, bluebirds all over the place. All the birds are doing a lot of singing, as are the frogs down in the “wet corner” of our property. I love being outside this time if year.

Left handed drill bits are a handy thing to have around when there's a screw with a stripped-out head.

These would do nicely
