U.S. Sen. John Fetterman’s wife, Gisele, has shared photos of she and their children visiting him in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he is undergoing treatment for clinical depression.
On Friday, Gisele Fetterman shared three photos on Twitter, one of she and her husband; one of the family at a table after, apparently, grabbing food from Wendy’s at Walter Reed; and one of colorful sticky notes with drawings and encouraging words that it appears the children wrote.
“We love you so much!!” read one. “Best dad EVER,” says another.
Gisele Fetterman added a comment to her post, referring to her husband as João, which is Portuguese for John. She is a native of Brazil, where Portuguese is spoken.
“We can do hard things when we do them together ♥ so proud of João, the kids, and everyone who’s shared their own struggles with us in the past few weeks,” she wrote. “It gets better.”

I agree. I wish him well personally. But he certainly is incapable of doing his job, and should therefore resign.

As soon as he was in the hospital “for depression “ (supposedly), SHE ran into Canada with the kids.
Only with a government job, could you just hire on and three weeks later, head out for at least a month of R and R in a “hospital”.

My sister in law works in an extremely highly thought of restaurant here in South Philadelphia.
About a month ago, Senator Sasquach came in with his family. Normally, even a slug like Arlen Specter or Ed Rendell darkens their door step, fellow diners will send over a drink, or buy them dessert.
When Lurch came in, 2/3rds of the restaurant called for their check, or asked for their food to go. She’d not seen something like that in the 20 some-odd years she’d been there.

You do not put patients in a mental ward for depression unless there is something radically wrong.
Depression is almost always treated on an outpatient basis. If one is suicidal confinment to a ward would be warranted. My personal belief he is at Walter Reed due to severe physical problems, not mental.
