The room where it happened: What it's like to stay in the $1,600-a-night ‘Scandal Room’ at the Watergate Hotel

The greatest scandal in American political history has its roots in room 214 of The Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C. The famed room still exists and can be booked for overnight stays for an average nightly rate of about $1,600.

That's right: You, too, can sleep in the room where, in 1972, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy stationed themselves while orchestrating the break-in at the Democratic National Committee's (DNC) headquarters. The fallout from the break-in led to President Richard Nixon resigning in disgrace. To date, Nixon remains the only U.S. president to ever resign from office.

The DNC's office was in a different part of the Watergate complex (a group of six buildings in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C.) than the hotel, but Hunt and Liddy choose room 214 as their base because it had access to a walkway connecting the two parts, had a clear view of the DNC's office and was close enough to the office that they could stay in touch with the burglars on the ground via radio.

Not much of a ‘scandal’ if at all; a leftist newspaper and suppurating media brought down a President bc a louse who got passed over for FBI Director was vindictive and acted as the so-called “Deep Throat”. A real scandal is when a senile fool is president after a stolen election and he and his family have received millions from an enemy country of the United States.

4 of the 5 burglars were on the CIA’s payroll.

Woodward was not an experienced journalist. His early career was spent with the Military interfacing with the Intelligence community.

“Deepthroat” the inside source was an assistant director of the FBI whose day job was leaking information to the Newspapers to discredit politicians that attacked the Bureau.

Al Gore was raised in the Watergate, wasn’t he? Closest thing he’s ever had to a home.

The article says you can book a tour through the room for a few hundred dollars, which is far less.

Watergate was so nothing compared with the myriad treasonous acts of the Rats, from vote collectors to POTUS.

The disparity in power between Rats and conservatives is mostly in what we cannot get away with, and what the Rats CAN get away with.

Progress has been made: Defining the GOP traitors and slowly working to neutralize them. Laying bare the scandals involving the CCP. Exposing the media as agents of the left. Supporting a tru(er) media in Tucker and Bannon, etc.

The biggest thing is getting people to identify and believe in the dozens of communist psyops we see in action every day.

Americans are becoming more aware of these things every day.

I wouldn’t even waste the money on that.

I won’t mind paying $500 to spend a night in the Babe Ruth Suite at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio. Hopefully, the ghost of Teddy Roosevelt will make an appearance in the bar, as he does frequently. That’s where Teddy recruited soldiers for his Rough Riders.
