They started putting rubber from ground up tires on fields for cushioning. Aerosolized tire rubber can’t be good for your lungs.
probably no fancy PFCs in them grubby tires tho
or PFAS or whatever the dang stuff is
I remember the little black puffs of that stuff on some sideline calls. Haven’t seen enough football in recent years to notice it.
