WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Four people are dead after two small planes collided near a Central Florida lake on Tuesday, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Winter Haven police and Winter Haven fire responded to Lake Hartridge at 2 p.m. when crews began a search by water and air.

I was called-in to investigate the same kind (high/low wing) of collision—back in the late eighties.
That fatal collison took place over the vast Everglades.It was strong enough a collision to knock a wing from the Cessna.
True. I was thinking the Cherokee is relatively high performance. No one ever accused the cub of that. Two very different aircraft dinking around the lake. The NTSB will look at all that but it’s very unfortunate.
