Who will ever forget the great ass kicking that the Red Wings gave the AV’s in retaliation for the Draper hit? It’s part of the legend, the lore of the game!
In 1989-90, the last season before Jagr joined the NHL, there were 36 players with 200+ penalty minutes. Seven of them had 300+ PIM.
It’s a much different game today — and European players are a big reason for that.
I wonder what Don Cherry would say about him now.
