Perhaps MG and his handlers simply didn’t cough up enough for MM to change his mind about not moving forward on MG’s nomination.

It’s like former IL Governor Blagojevic, realizing he had something of value when Barry prematurely gave up his US Senator’s seat to become Preezy. Blago wanted money to name the next senator. Because of the Dem Blago’s lack of public discretion, it was found out, of course, and Blago joined the host of previous IL governors that did stints in IL’s correctional facilities.

I’m sure MM knew better how to keep his payoffs from public scrutiny.

I don’t know how Barry’s “seat” could be worth much, as he laid it out there every time he signed his name. One might need to imagine that Barry likes the catcher’s position.

Two slight corrections.

1) Blago served his time in out of state Federal prisons, not in Ill-Annoy.

2) Soetoro had a long history of pitching, not catching:

2a) He supposedly would be "orally serviced" in exchange for providing the occasional customer/sucker with coke while still in Hawaii.

2b) According to Sinclair, Soetoro was happy to have Larry service him in exchange for coke in Soetoro's days in the Ill-Annoy Legislature (during the wild limo ride in Gurnee).
