I’m doing a ‘Use It Up!’ challenge with some friends, so YARN and other craft supplies are in that list. I’ll be ‘going in’ next rainy/snowy day. ;)

That’s a cool challenge! Have fun with it!

Does anybody have any wisdom about beading? My daughter is getting married in July, and she wants to add pearl “sleeves” to her wedding gown. I have an idea of the beads, but I don’t make jewelry. I wonder if using fish line would be a good thing to string them with.

I also don’t know whether I should see them on or use tiny clasps. I’ve never done that, but I think I can figure it out. I just have to play with it some first.

Suggestions welcomed.

I’m knitting a diagonal scrap blanket out of all my random balls of yarn. 2 strands of no bigger than worsted weight yarn, size 11 needles. I haven’t used the same color twice.... Finished size will be about 5x7 feet. I’m on the last 30 rows and it’s hard to move. I’m giving it to my daughter for her 40th birthday. What a good feeling to be able to get rid of a good chunk of scrap!
