A former Congressman from Tennessee set off an internet firestorm when he appeared on Fox News remotely Thursday, with a portrait of former Chairman of the People’s Republic of China and founder of the Chinese Communist Party Mao Zedong in the background.
Harold Ford Jr., a Democrat, represented Tennessee’s Ninth Congressional District for a decade, from 1997 to 2007. Now, he provides commentary frequently on Fox News.
Fox News viewers noticed some strange background decor during Ford’s appearance on “Special Report” with Bret Baier Thursday.

I think Tyrus, on the Gutfeld show, is 7/8 white. He claims to bring black.

Wasn’t Ford indicted for bribery or something which ended his career? Then he went on FOX; he must be a friend of Ryan.
If I recall, Ford was sort of touted as a national candidate because he came across as clean and articulate. And he was from the south. But his timing was just a little off. Then, well, that other clean articulate guy showed up and Ford was pushed aside.
Ford started appearing on Gutfeld. I haven’t watched Gutfeld (and Fox) since.
