Cocaine Bear | Official Trailer [HD] (video/trailer)
youtube.com ^

Posted on 03/02/2023 4:46:40 AM PST by RoosterRedux

I found several threads discussing this classic new movie, but didn't find any links to the trailer.

This trailer has no foul language and is child and preacher friendly (just kidding, "this bear is f*cked")

From Youtube:

Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner's plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood.

Cocaine Bear stars Keri Russell (The Americans), O’Shea Jackson, Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Brooklynn Prince (The Florida Project), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (BlacKkKlansman), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Hannah Hoekstra (2019’s Charlie’s Angels) and Aaron Holliday (Sharp Objects), with with Emmy winner Margo Martindale (The Americans) and Emmy winner Ray Liotta (The Many Saints of Newark).

Directed by Elizabeth Banks (Charlie’s Angels, Pitch Perfect 2) from a screenplay by Jimmy Warden (The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Cocaine Bear is produced by Oscar® winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, The Mitchells vs. The Machines) for Lord Miller, Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect franchise) and Max Handelman (Pitch Perfect franchise) for Brownstone Productions, Brian Duffield (Spontaneous) for Jurassic Party Productions and Aditya Sood (The Martian) for Lord Miller. The film is executive produced by Robin Mulcahy Fisichella, Alison Small and Nikki Baida.

Like you, I am a big Rodney Dangerfield fan. He’s a genius in my book. I used to live right up the street from Dangerfield’s in NYC.

Don't laugh. There are two things that scare the hell out of me. Sharks and bears.

I used to surf when I was a teenager. Lots of bad dreams before a big weekend of surfing.

Got into mountaineering as an old-timer. The bad dreams came back, this time starring bears.

I've seen plenty of sharks up close (while in the water, too far from shore to make a run for it). Have never seen a bear while up in the mountains.

It was entertaining. Nonstop action. It’s a silly premise and meant to be laughed at.

I don’t go to the movies very often - usually just when my 2 youngest kids want to see a movie -— so on Tuesday afternoon I took my youngest to see the latest Marvel crap -— but I went to Cocaine Bear instead. It was hilarious! Everyone in the theater laughed non-stop. Since my wife was unable to see it with me on Tuesday, I went back yesterday afternoon with her and still laughed the whole movie. it is silly, stupid, BUT massively entertaining. I am still laughing from some of the scenes.

You don’t honestly think I care what you believe or think, do you?

Absolutely not. You're obviously an internet troll and hang out here to do what you do. Actually I think that you do care a little bit what I think because so far you are the only one in this thread defending this movie. Maybe you are narcissistic enough to believe that your views on this topic must be better than everyone elses...but I think that inside you really know that you're just being a pain in the ass to me and everyone else here. Because of your troll psychological defect, you enjoy it. If you'd like help with your "problem", heres an article written just for you: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/your-online-secrets/201409/internet-trolls-are-narcissists-psychopaths-and-sadists

Heheh. Yep. Been trolling goodie two-shoes whiners like you since around 2003.

But look upthread. You find plenty of upbeat comments.

Reminds me of “Tucker and Dale vs Evil” (2010)

Took my 11 and 13 y/o sons to see it last weekend. They were begging to go see it.

Rated R for language and comedic, over-the-top gore. Lots of blood and severed limbs!

No sex, no nudity, no woke moralizing, no LGBTQ+ subplots, no forced diversity (of the three main black characters, one was a grizzled police detective, one was a drug dealer, and one was a cocaine-addicted bear).

At a taut 95 minutes running time, it didn't pretend to be anything other than a movie about a beat who eats cocaine and kills people.

It was a movie set in 1985 and it felt like it could've been made in 1985 (only with better CGI special effects).

Excellent! Thx, Drew. With all going on in the country, a little humor would be great.

I found a definition of you over at PsychopathsToday:
Skunk at the Garden Party:

Someone who is unwanted within a group, usually due to their pessimism, negative opinions, detraction against the thread as a whole, whining, etc.

I never cared for the roles Ray played, but, that said, I always thought he did an excellent job of acting in those roles.

I was really sorry to see him go.
