A report earlier Wednesday indicated Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter was present at teammate’s fatal crash and misled police about it. Now, comes word from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department that it has issued an arrest warrant for Carter for reckless driving and racing.

“As a result of the ongoing investigation into the January 15, 2023, fatal crash that occurred in the 900 block Barnett Shoals Road, the Athens Clarke-Country Police Department has secured arrest warrants for Jalen Carter, 21, for Reckless Driving and Racing,” the statement reads. “The investigation found that Chandler LeCroy, driver of the 2021 Ford Expedition, and Jalen Carter, driver of a 2021 Jeep Trackhawk, were operating their vehicles in a manner consistent with racing shortly after leaving the downtown Athens area at about 2:30 a.m. The evidence demonstrated that both vehicles switched between lanes, drove in the center turn lane, drove in opposite lanes of travel, overtook other motorists and drove at high rates of speed in an apparent attempt to outdistance each other. Evidence indicated that shortly before the crash the Expedition was traveling at about 104 mph.

So I looked it up. Since Miller didn’t commit any crime, it’s irrelevant.

“In Alabama, the common law felony murder rule has been codified in Alabama Code § 13A-6-2(a)(3). It provides that when a person commits various crimes and “in the course of and in furtherance of the crime” another is killed, then the perpetrator is guilty of murder, a “Class A Felony”, the punishment of which is not less than 10 years nor more than 99 years in prison, or life in prison. If any aggravating circumstances were present, the penalty is death or life imprisonment.[2]”

Ummmm... I have. It's led to the advice I give everyone I know who dates someone like that. "The crazy ones are a lot of fun... AT FIRST"... then comes the screaming and sirens and incarcerations.

More recent photo. She was 24 and a so-called "influencer," and I assume an aspiring mudsharker. R.I.P.

Brandon Miller had nothing to do with the murder. Miller never touched the weapon and had no clue as to what was about to take place. I’ve never seen an athlete so slandered. Miller and UA should sue the bloodthirsty, lying media into oblivion. That includes the Birmingham media, which is controlled by Auburn.

If Miller were an Auburn, Tennessee, LSU or a Notre Dame player, the media would never touch him.

Before slandering a player, know the facts.

Growing up in Buffalo, we raced at Ohio Street. Lots of fast cars. Abandoned flour mills around. The police turned a blind eye. Kept us off the streets. Quite organized.

That is not how Felony Murder works:

Miller was there, did he drive those others there?

If people rob a bank and the driver sits in the car and never enters, but those that do go in and end up killing someone then all those involved are charged with Felony Murder regardless. So if Miller got the gun for the guy and drove him there then he is subject to charges also.

Miller delivered the murder weapon to the scene of the crime and then stayed to watch.
Miller currently has plausible deniability but then police haven’t pubicly released the contents
of that text message he received before making the delivery.
kudos to the gamecock fans who erupted into a chant of “lock him up” at the game in Columbia.

Wrong. Miller wasn’t anywhere in the vicinity,

The inbred gamecock fans at the game got exactly what they deserved. Miller scored a record number of points. Every point he scored was a middle finger to the cretins in the stands.

And people wonder why I pull against the sec in out of conference games. What has the sec done to earn the respect of Bama fans?

I read the reports. I know more about the situation, than some Bama hater who resides out of state.

You gamecock fans can dish it out, but you sure can’t take it.
