Disgraced Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes is citing her recently born child as another reason she should be allowed to delay the start of a more than 11-year prison sentence while her lawyers appeal her conviction for duping investors about the capabilities of her failed company's blood-testing technology.
The birth of Holmes' second child was confirmed in court documents filed last week in advance of a March 17 hearing about her bid to remain free during an appeals process that could take years to complete.
The filing didn't disclose the date of the birth or the child's gender, but the news isn't a surprise. Holmes, 38, was pregnant at the time of her Nov. 18 sentencing in the same San Jose, California, courtroom where a jury convicted her on four felony counts of fraud and conspiracy.

Since when does having children keep men or women out of jail?
You know, blacks kinda have a point in some of their complaints. Think they ever get a 11 year sentence, and get 6 months to arrange your affairs? Oh, and if you have a baby, you don’t have to go to prison at all maybe.

She’s like those military women who get knocked up to avoid deployment or to get rotated home.

She is a bunny boiler and thinks she is very clever. She is going to Prison, even if is soft. Hubby will move on, marry a half way decent woman who will raise the kids. This will make this psycho very angry. Stay tuned.
Plenty of non-violent people convicted of fraud etc go to regular old state prison. Disgusting that we have a rich girl prison.

It might delay start of serving the one’s sentence at the discretion of the judge or prison officials, but she still has to serve her full term, regardless. Maybe she felt that this would be her last opportunity to have children. She’ll be 49 in 11 years. I wish her well. She’s married to a “hotel heir”, so she probably wants to have some way to anchor him.
This is under appeal and she want’s to stall until she wins
it.
You or me would already be serving time.

She is married to a man who is nine years younger, and the heir to a wealthy family. Apparently all of his family and friends are not happy about it.
