Great, now instead of just worrying about AI trying to exterminate us, we’ll also have to worry about brains in jars trying to exterminate us.
A brain in a jar still isn’t a MIND.
But it scares me that decisions that require the human mind are beginning to be given to so-called AIs. Many years ago, I saw one of the ‘fathers of AI’ and the man who coined the term state that some day, AI would replace judges in courts.
And recently some jurisdiction somewhere had decided to try it in court, for some minor infractions - there was an article here about it.
