NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WJW) – There was a unique deer sighting in North Olmsted over the weekend.
FOX 8 viewer Nathan Lang shared pictures of a Piebald deer crossing State Route 252 on Sunday evening.
Lang says he slowed down after spotting the deer and turned on his hazard lights to slow other traffic as well. The deer crossed the road safely.
According to WorldDeer.org, Piebald Deer are rarely seen. They have a genetic mutation that can result in patches of white, instead of brown, hair.

yep! It’s SPOTTED!...............
Saw a piebald 8 or 10 years ago. Have a couple game cam pics somewhere.
The Great White Buck!
here on the eastern shore of maryland, i spotted an all white doe eating in a field... woman in the car ahead of me stopped and took a picture...
it was neat to see. the next night, driving home behind a pick up and out of the woods, towards the field, comes the same white doe... the truck driver did not see of stop in time... down goes frasier. he gets out, throws it in the back of his pickup and takes it off to the hospital i am sure... yeah, not the butcher’s... well, maybe.
that’s life in the fastlane on the eastern shore.
Seem to be a lot of them here on Long Island. I know people who have taken them and had the skin, with hair, tanned
Of course it’s rare, until you cook it!
Love it!!!!
That made me laugh out loud!!!
We might be seeing more mutant animals in Eastern Ohio in the near future.
That’s what drinking vinyl chloride will do. It will be named the Buttplug Deer.

Looks more like an escaped deer from someones farm yard considering it’s demeanor in crossing the road.
Piebalds are a mix of white and brown, while albinos are all
white, and additionally have pink eyes.
Two different genetic mechanisms at work there.
3 eyed Bigfoots.
The other white meat.
We had 2 piebalds born in the woods on our property a few years back. We would see them come out of the woods quite often and romp around at the back of our cleared property. They stayed close by for about a year....and then they were gone. I have photos of them but don’t know how to load them on here.
