There is not much “lowly” about a 410 with those three-inch loads of five 000 buckshot. The 410 sends those 36 caliber balls out at the same velocity as a 12 gauge is sending out its buckshot.
My grandmother put the first real gun in my hands at 7. It was a break open single shot .410. I’m very aware of the force of that caliber. I simply refer to it as lowly because people give it a bad rap. It’s a sure enough game getter!
