Did a quick search.
Deer are about twenty times more likely to kill you than a dog, all dogs, of which PB related fatalities are just over half.
That might sound like justification for the hate until you look at the number of PB’s in the population. Media bias gives PB’s an unfair rap since it drives their sensationalist narrative.
Cattle and horses are about twice as likely to kill you.
Insects also more likely, lightning is about equal.
But hey, keep on hating on the animal of your choice, seems many here really enjoy that sort of irrational behavior.
If the dogs here had been any other breed the story would have remained local.
Your points are goofy.
Deaths by deer are usually auto crashes. Deaths by cattle and horses are due to careless individuals who should have known better.
Dogs, aggressive dogs especially, have inbred killer instincts and therefore many pit bull breeds must be put down and eliminated.
So pet deer in neighborhoods kill 20X more often than pet dogs?
I don’t know anyone with pet deer.
I suppose you will say pet sharks kill even more than pet deer.
By the way, we have open season on the wild kind of deer, every year.
Maybe we have open season on the pet kind of pit bull, every 20 years and call it even.
Well, yeah, but almost of those deer fatalities are cars hitting deer.
Deer actually attacking humans walking down a residential sidewalk is pretty darn rare. Ditto for horses and cattle.
Yellow jacket or hornets, well, they are pretty nasty...
There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.
Deer don't kill you by mauling you to death, but by running in front of your car and causing you to wreck. In many cases, this is because the driver is not using situational awareness in forested roads.
There is no comparison to the cited story of an elderly man walking on a city street being attacked out of the blue by nasty beasts that were bred for fighting and killing and then abandoned by other negligent human beings.
