They put a waiver in the contract to give them immunity for fraud and bad faith.

Fraud and bad faith does not protect Pfizer from lawsuits. There is an implied fraud exception in every contract. Before it’s over, Pfizer and all the people who knew or should have known about the fraud could be sued into bankruptcy and proseccuted.
