Thanks for setting me straight on this. My knowledge is limited for sure. The only real hands-on experience I had was in the MC with the 1911. There are a lot of variations out there now that have come along since 1969. I loved my military issued 1911, shot expert with it in my first qualification in Basic School. We had competitions on how fast we could assemble the pistol.
