I’ll bet there’s more mealy brained people at the community that think the same way you do. That’s why “henry was allowed to remain until he killed a human being.
People like that make me want to puke. You put the life of a stupid dog and an alligator above a person.
I do not think the dog was stupid. I think it was his owner who was stupid, trolling Poor Trooper by the water, and tempting Henry, the alligator. I do not see why they had to murder Henry. There are places that he could have gone, where he could have more than earned his board and keep.
“You put the life of a stupid dog and an alligator above a person.”
Sometimes the person is a major part of the problem. If you walk out on to a freeway sooner or later you could be hit. And if you do is it the truck’s fault when it was doing what it is supposed to do where it was supposed to do it. I lived in Florida for a number of years and we were reminded often of the dangers of Florida waters and gators back in the mid 1970’s.
In watching the video, the gator was seen on top of the water for around 10 to 15 yards approaching at speed and the woman was paying no attention and made no effort to move away from the animal.
But to kill an animal doing what it’s species has done for centuries when the woman with her dog should have been more aware, is not the way to go either. It’s sad that she was killed. But if she had been diligent and proactive with her own protection, she would have had no problem. She had plenty of time to move away from a spot she never should have been on to begin with when the animal started towards her. What would be wrong with walking the dog about 50 feet up the bank away from the water? The animal isn’t supposed to be as smart as a person.
