Hence, while thinking this, they flat out lied when they claimed masks were useless — and later Fauci had to admit they lied because they were afraid we little people would snag all the masks which were in short supply, leaving too few for frontline healthcare workers.
Nope. Fauci's name is on a study done regarding the Spanish flu, which determined that masks, which were used quite a bit back then and sometimes even mandated, didn't do a thing to stop the spread of the virus, and, in fact, may have caused many more problems than not wearing one, such as bacterial pneumonia and the like.
Fauci was telling the truth when he said masks don't do any good. He lied later when he said "Whoops I didn't mean that." He did, because his own study told him so.
Also, remember that, in the begining, Jan - Feb 2020 time frame, they were pushing masks and lockdowns based on a flawed computer model that said 2 million dead Americans by summer. Later, when Fauci promoted masks, he said that cloth masks still worked. Well, if that were true, then he could have said in Feb 2020 to use cloth masks instead of medical masks, saved medical masks for doctors and supposedly saved American lives by getting people to wear masks. Even if cloth masks had a 10% reduction in infection, that would have translated to 200,000 people saved according to their model-based claims. Yet he said "They don't work."
Either Fauci lied the first time and put hundreds of thousands of lives at risk, or lied the second time to promote a fraud, or the whole thing was a fraud from the beginning. There is no other option here.
The whole dog and pony show being successful is dependent on people having short memories and not paying attention and, well, unfortunately, that is the case.
