The show is set to have a modern spin this time with a female-led storyline, as the eponymous police duo will be Sasha and Nicole, rather than Dave and Ken.

That was tried with Ed O’Neil (Married With Children)! I don’t think it finished one season. I thought he did OK as Friday. I guess people were too attached to O’Neil being Al Bundy.
Lot of new stories out there but I am sure CPAs and focus groups say don’t go there.

Actually, the new Magnum is doing very well. It’s restarting it’s season this Sunday on NBC. It was very popular on CBS but got into some kind of a contract squabble between CBS and Universal who produced and was owned by NBC. Not as good as the original, but not bad. The remake of Hawaii 5-0 was pretty good too. Sorry the guy who starred in it wanted out.
