Florida's Ron DeSantis puts wokester banking and Chinese-style social credit systems in the crosshairs

DeSantis is so good at this sort of thing one wonders if he's an artist.

Florida's governor, Ron DeSantis, is starting to look like an artist right now. A sculptor perhaps, a bas relief sculptor, yet one whose lacy carvings cut all the way through.

Because against the great marble wall of woke which forms the establishment, he's carving out something else for Floridians, and it's a thing of beauty:

According to Crankers, cited by news aggregator Whatfinger:

Ron DeSantis continues his war on the woke. Slamming ESG as an “elite-driven phenomenon” that seeks to impose policies that would otherwise “never win favor” with the public, Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has recently announced proposed legislation designed to end “ESG woke banking” in the state.

During the press conference, DeSantis said that ESG, or environmental, social, and governance standards, are a “mechanism to inject political ideology into investment decisions, corporate governance, and really just the everyday economy.” By withdrawing government support from banks that use it and creating protections for citizens, the government’s plan aims to eliminate its influence in the state.

That apparently includes this, too, according to the Free Press of Tampa:

On Monday, the Florida Republican announced he would work to prohibit financial firms that operate in the state from using “social credit scores” to evaluate customers.

This is why I hope Ron stays in FL for now ...eradicate the leftist poison and secure FL. It takes time.

If he ran for potus- which I don’t think he will this time-he’d have to be working on it 24-7 by now.

Why aren’t other gop govs doing this? It’s good to see DeSantis doing these kinds of things but what about the others? If more did the same, it would be very effective and harder for the left to take down. Otherwise it just looks like the Rinos giving permission for Florida to do what ever for the sake of DeSantis while keeping the rest of the states in place.

Because they are RINOs or they have no spine to do what is right.

Good. He deserves credit for this. But I’m betting the left is already planning a major attack on him.

It’ll start with a NYT hitpiece, written by one of their disgusting sycophants. Then they’ll call their whores-in-waiting and tell them to release the made-up story of DeSantis pulling a girl’s pigtails in 3rd grade, or worse, and the media will light up with it.
Then the angry, decrepit sack of putrefying turpitude in the White House will sic the irs/fbi/cia/kgb on him.

I’m with you on this point. Ron running now will screw the Florida voter who has waited a long time for a leader and there are many of us in Florida who will just skip voting if he dumps us now. And for those republicans who want to force-feed your rino picks down our throats because “at least our picks are not democrats”... save your breath. rinos want to take us all to the same end as progressive democrats, just a tiny bit slower. IF ron throws his hat in, he will only be proving it’s all about Him and not the Florida voters. not pretty but pretty simple.

If Ron leaves Florida and begins a Presidential campaign soon I think it would be a strike against him. Voters elected him as Governor, it’s a 4 year term and he has lots of work to do.

Well said. Yes, it kind of hit me that he can’t just stop in the middle of this anti-woke crusade of his. He’s that important in FL and thus to the country.

"in the cross hairs" is one thing. What gets passed is an entirely different story.

Talk about screeching. Pretty pathetic when you have to wet your pants for your potential presidential candidate over possible woke shit for only Floridians.
Let us know when he wants to do something for all Americans.

BTW, Trump accomplished more for America in one 4yr term than any President in your lifetime
