Yep, and road bikes are like having a roadster with no top to put up when it rains.
With the deer strikes we have around Lewis County, TN, I wouldn’t go over 35 mph on a road bike.

We have had LOTS of snow in Idaho this Winter. There are large herds of deer and elk coming into the outskirts of Pocatello. There are mountain lions coming down to feed on those elk. My wife sent 3 of her officers to drive a herd east away from I-15 so they wouldn't get hit on the 80 MPH segments they were approaching. The elk are skin and bones for lack of food this Winter.
