It’s happening right now.
That's absurd. If there's a news babe on camera describing it while shots are ringing out in the background, that is "happening right now."
If it's in print media (even if it's digitally printed), at the instant they hit the key to send it, they don't AND CAN'T know whether the event will have been concluded in the length of time it takes the story to travel over the internet and appear on a news consumer's monitor.
Nor do they change the headline or take down the story once the incident is at an end. It's hardly "happening right now" if someone stumbles across that story 11 years later.
What it is is sensational journalism, period, end of story.
