Hoover built the FBI and abused its power, which is why he's left behind a legacy controversial enough to warrant repeated calls for the “J. Edgar Hoover Building” that headquarters the FBI to be renamed. It never has, but the 10-year tenure for FBI directors is arguably a much more important impact of his time. Instead of serving 37 years like Hoover, each FBI director gets 10 unless an extension is proposed by the President and affirmed by the Senate.

Before he married he nightly shared a bed with a man.

Since you are easily persuaded by the left, you should not start researching that gaying of history period, it was also when the left started pointing out that so many white historical figures were black, Lincoln was one and Hoover also.

J. Edgar Hoover is the reason FBI directors only serve for 10 years.

The last couple of ones at least should serve MUCH, MUCH longer - in SUPERMAX!

Clyde Tolson lived with him in the same house for 30 years. They vacationed together. Neither married or had women. Neither had kids. When he died, he left everything to Tolson. Tolson accepted the flag on his coffin. And now he is buried near Hoovers grave. He was famous for obsessing over agents appearance and looks. He was a true believer of the progressive era.

Any normal red blooded cop enjoys a woman and a family.

He was a homo.

“Before he married he nightly shared a bed with a man.”

Even the slightest look at that era of US history has men sharing blankets, or the only bed in the house. Sometimes three did so. It was a time of hard work, and freezing to death happened.

You’re sick. Hoover didnt live in that harsh world.

Why go after me?

I’m the one trying to tell you not to fall for this stuff and you put your issues on me?

Look for the facts, don’t let the left sell you impressions.
