On the fence. On one hand, I expect kids to be loud and rowdy cause they’re kids. On the other hand, I don’t have to work there. And on yet another hand, thank God the gathering of maskless people wasn’t completely abolished like the left wanted. Not a bad conversation to be having.
We didn't eat out much when I was a child, because it was expensive, and my parents preferred to save money. So when we did, it was a special time. My brothers and I instinctively knew, if we acted like fools, there would be hell to pay when we got home - for embarrassing Mom and Dad, and ruining their night out. We kids also knew we wouldn't go out a second time either
So even young children can understand when its time not to be loud and rowdy, and when its time to behave - if the parents make it clear.
Nope. They are loud and rowdy because their parents have not taught the to respect others. Not just restaurants. If I had acted out in public and embarassed my parents there would have been hell to pay. So I learned respect for others.
Well patented children are not loud and rowdy. They are taught manners.
Intelligent parents know only to take a child 5 and under out to breakfast. Children between 5 and 9 breakfast or lunch out. And 9 and over are then well trained and can manage dinner. NEVER EXPECT A TIRED OR HUNGRY CHILD TO SHOP OR EAT OUT. ALWAYS ORDER A BREADBASKET OR OTHER IMMEDIATE EDIBLE WHEN SEATED.
I regularly took out single-handed using these rules.
Also before getting out of the car whenever we’re were going anyplace we chanted that we were going to be obedient, cooperative and polite.
