I lived outside Philly for my college years when I spent summers at my folk’s place. You are right. A real cheesesteak has only beef, provolone and fried onions on a soft bun. No wiz junk. No red sauce or ketchup. I really miss those sandwiches.

Yeah, I always thought “whiz” had a meaning other than cheese.

Pat's Steaks makes them with cheese whiz...which is why you go to Jim's
on South street...
