They had quite a bit to start with....They won’t have the same next year. I’m betting the EU will be begging Russia to use Nord 1 & 2 next year.

They will be much further along in implementing other arrangements. Nuke, coal, LNG terminals, and not least the Spain-France gas pipeline will let the Euro gas transmission pipeline network tap the extensive Spanish gas terminal system.
The systems are adjusting.

I don’t think you are right.
EU storage will probably end this winter around 60% full.
EU can leisurely fill storage back up before next winter.
They don’t even need to hurry, but buy at advantageous prices.
