My sister in law heard voiced in her head. She said once, only once, as i recall, that they said they were angels. But they were teling her bad things. They were clearly not angels. They weren’t demons either, they were simply not real. She was insane in that time. postpartum psychosis is just that, it’s temporary psychosis, madness, insanity. She was behaving as she never had before and we were all worried she’d hurt herself. We didn’t worry about the kids, but we should have.
God bless your SIL. I’ve read that some women experience a huge drain of vitamins and minerals during pregnancy and that they need great nutritional support afterward, particularly Omega-3 oils, like fish oil capsules. FWIW...
I know a woman that this happened to, and she has never recovered because her family put her in a mental care unit, and once she went on medication, doctors have just kept giving her various drugs for the following ten years, and her mind is not right any more. Her husband rejected her and took the kids, another reason she has not pulled herself together.
