We had -25 this morning - less than the worst we’ve seen. I built a darned good house; never fell below 74 inside.

The Arctic air that descended on the Northeast on Saturday brought dangerously cold sub-zero temperatures and wind chills to the region, including a record-setting wind chill of –108°F (–78°C) on the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. That is very nearly the temperature at which carbon dioxide freezes / the temperature at which Dry Ice forms!

Hiked Mount Washington about eight times - you can run into wintry weather even in June - pack accordingly.
The view on the way up is fantastic, but a good view from the peak is a crap-shoot.

Minus 35 celcius here in the East.
14 hour power outage
roads blocked by wind driven drifts 5 feet high.
Sacrificial virgin Greta Thunberg did not show although invited.
Also the globul schwarming crowd do not say a word , the lefty press is ignoring the cold meme.
How fast can you rapidly repeat say “Rum toddy!?”

The cold snap is pretty much done here in the Northeast. Temps will be back up in the 40s in most areas this afternoon.
