Speaking of old actors, anyone seen the movie "Val" about Val Kilmer on Amazon?
It's excellent. According to him, he was the first person he ever knew to buy a camcorder back in the early 80s and has documented his entire adult acting life since.
He's in rough shape. Cancer beat him up pretty good. Won't be at all surprised to see a "Val Kilmer RIP" thread in the next few years.
Really a nice, humble man.
Val nailed the character of doc in tombstone. Best doc I’ve seen. I ablut fell off the chair laughing when he was “drunk” at the table and challenged Ike to a spelling contest lol
Never knew that about Kilmer; all I’d noticed is he’d dropped out of the limelight...thanks for taking the time to post it.
I was happy he was in the new Maverick movie, but it was still sad to see his decline.
He’ll always be “Nick Rivers” to me, though from “Top Secret!”
I thought it was a great touch to include Val in the movie “Top Gun: Maverick”, as an Admiral who could no longer speak aloud.
After seeing that, I learned he really did have cancer.
