Bout time tor the hunters to get out in the woods and have a lovely time getting mistaken for deer. Some folks are not so much inter ested In bumper crops an In just plain bumpers. The White House may be besieged with office seekers, but. they should not expect to sleep in the front hall. The speeding motorists do not usu ally makeany complaint, if they run across police officers on their tours who fail to see all that is going on. There may be an overstock of some commodities, but the American people will consume about all the bunk that is produced. Many people who are trying to ac quire ‘‘pemonaflity,” but they can’t get it merely by talking as if they thought everyone was deaf. * Some one dreamed the other night that he was living in the year 2023, and people were going on strike be cause they only got $125 a day, while th* price of eggs had gone up to $lO a dozen.

Just think the first Texas instrument calculators that just had add, subtract, multiply and divide were 99.00 in 1971

I knew there was a city in Texas named Frisco...but "Frisco" is sometimes used as a slang term for San Francisco. Since that bugs residents of San Francisco, the practice should be encouraged except when it might cause confusion.

I've never been to Frisco, TX. I lived in Dallas for a while when it was much smaller than it is now, and Texas was the largest state in the Union.

Let’s break it down.

Bout time tor the hunters to get out in the woods and have a lovely time getting mistaken for deer. (Dick Cheney hunting accident)

Some folks are not so much interested In bumper crops an In just plain bumpers. (cars? corn for fuel?)

The White House may be besieged with office seekers, but. they should not expect to sleep in the front hall. (Jan. 6th and the National Guard slept in the parking garage)

The speeding motorists do not usually make any complaint, if they run across police officers on their tours who fail to see all that is going on. (this one is easy...riots, drivers too scared to move or complain)

There may be an overstock of some commodities, but the American people will consume about all the bunk that is produced. (people buying ‘stuff’ vs. assets)

Many people who are trying to ac quire ‘‘pemonaflity,” but they can’t get it merely by talking as if they thought everyone was deaf. * (social media influencers)

Some one dreamed the other night that he was living in the year 2023, and people were going on strike be cause they only got $125 a day, while th* price of eggs had gone up to $lO a dozen. (self explanatory)

I’m telling you, this is the last paragraph of a bunch of random thoughts of a column that covers 2 columns. Convenient you started it at the top of the 2nd column. They are not 2 different columns but the same. The last paragraph is the first to mention this dream. None of the other stuff is relevant.

Let me correct myself. This does not cover the Community Notes of the 1st column, but is strangely independent from all else, without any heading of any kind, including graphic.

Thanks for re-evaluating your interpretation. It is weird.

It’s still only the last paragraph that is relevant.

But mistakes happen, even in newspapers. They screw up formatting plenty. Other days would provide context.

I remember a list from a few years ago that was supposedly written decades ago, and it forecast a ton of things accurately.

The two that it was wrong about: It said people would stop cooking for themselves and stop driving for themselves. Those are obviously things that people enjoy.
