Investigators were continuing to work to determine what prompted the fight...
Detectives say Giroux had left the school and was driving home when he stopped his car and called first responders. They found him in the vehicle and transported him to the hospital, where he died.
State police have interviewed participants in the brawl and spectators at the game, and collected and reviewed video footage of the melee.
State police were called at 6:56 p.m. to scene for a report of a large fight involving multiple spectators during a 7th-8th grade boys basketball game

That’s weird. Its white people
And the Crap on The Hill up in the District of Corruption still thinks guns are the problem. Idiots.
A terrible shame... Maybe the shock and stress of it all was too much for him.
Grownups should not be fighting at a kids’ basketball game.
While people in Vermont
WTF?!
“ Grownups should not be fighting at a kids’ basketball game.”
We have certain schools that play each other and hold ‘closed games’
They have to be on list have to provide ID have to be family
Because of the shootings …..
The kids have got to win games so they can get recognized in high school and get that full ride scholarship, get drafted, and play pro ball, man!
Very sad that someone dies over something so extremely unimportant.
Because the wolves the Democrats are bringing across the Border will sooner or later be unleashed upon the American Citizens to do what they do best. And "The Crap on The Hill" does not desire the Citizens to be able to resist them, A/K/A, being armed.
Giroux?
I figured south Louisiana
Wrong me
Same here. Plus they mentioned Grand Isle.
Jeff Foxworthy: “You might be a redneck if...
...your grandmother has gotten into a fistfight at a junior high school basketball game.”
Either that or he got punched in the head and had a brain aneurysm on the way home.
French tempers tend to flare quickly.
Many of the residents are descendants of French Canadians, which includes many of my relatives there.
This is more like the old "real" Vermont I grew up in.
However the fights were seldom at basketball games, but more likely at hockey games and sometimes wrestling matches.
Ok, thanks. There’s a Grand Isle in South Louisiana where I fish for trout and redfish. I found it odd to come across the name in Vermont.
I know a guy who comes from backwoods French stock in inland Maine. Very successful professional, but a very redneck background, with a French accent.
third world culture here we are....
lets wait and see what the ME comes out with.....could have been cardiac arrest.....enough said.
This group missed the bus.
My wife is from Middlebury. We used to go there quite often but it’s been completely taken over by libtards. Generally speaking…Vermonters are pussies.

Unfortunately it is common in youth sports. I coached ice hockey for 19 years. I have seen it all, with the exception of someone dying. I was coaching a Bantam(13 and 14 year old) team and we were in a tournament. A player was called for a crosscheck which knocked another player into the boards, where he collapsed. EMS was called and thankfully the player was alright.
The mother of the player who crosschecked started screaming at the refs that it was a BS call. The father of the kid who was hit was sitting a couple of seats away. He started arguing back that the mothers kid was a thug. She got up, got right in his face and started cursing at him. Meanwhile he is yelling back at her but you can see he really doesn’t want to engage her further. That’s when she landed a punch to his face and before the second punch landed, the man knocked her unconscious.
Was a fitting end to the tournament.
