SARS-CoV-2 virus is still spreading worldwide, and there is an urgent need to effectively prevent and control this pandemic. This study evaluated the potential efficacy of Egg Yolk Antibodies (IgY) as a neutralizing agent against the SARS-CoV-2. We investigated the neutralizing effect of anti-spike-S1 IgYs on the SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus, as well as its inhibitory effect on the binding of the coronavirus spike protein mutants to human ACE2. Our results show that the anti-Spike-S1 IgYs showed significant neutralizing potency against SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus, various spike protein mutants, and even SARS-CoV in vitro. It might be a feasible tool for the prevention and control of ongoing COVID-19

At $5/dozen maybe Medicare will start covering eggs ?
Thats an interesting point about chicken egg yolks since eggs are also a good source of immune system-strengthening vitamin D.
Vitamin D, now conclusive (2.1.23)
That requires 3 weeks planning ahead. If you accidentally run out, a scoop of premium French vanilla ice cream generously bathed in rum has nearly the same health benefits.
Isn’t the government that started the “egg yolks are bad for you” campaign years ago?
Glad I never listen to gooberment advice.
Thanx for posting
Some asian cultures enjoy raw eggs on their rice dishes; it's an acquired taste. Eggs in asia are almost all unpasteurized eggs; commercial eggs in the US are all pasteurized (and why they have to be refrigerated). The study doesn't say if the egg IgY’s are affected by pasteurization.

“2) Are the ChiComs killing our chickens because Yolks are beneficial to blocking or stopping covid ?”
Bingo... I went down that Rabbit Hole a couple days ago... Looks like the theory could be correct.
“And now you know why they have destroyed so many chickens and egg producing facilities.”
Yep...
I’ve got friends in El Salvador. I’ll roll the dice but thanks for your concern.
5 eggs a day has benefits.
Wouldn’t want to spray raw eggs into my sinuses and lungs. Not sure if salmonella would like it there.
Hold my nasal spray and watch this.
